After training as a primary school teacher, I taught in WA primary schools for years. However my blogs are about my other adventures:
• working as a linguist on Mer in the '80s (MERry Life),
• teaching for two years in China (Howling Pigeons)
• then in Turkey for a year (Turklish Adventure),
• working in England at Sheffield University (The British Job),
• then Torquay (Torquay Talkie)
• and the University of East Anglia in Norwich (Porridge in Norwich),
• being Course Coordinator for the female side of a university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Howdi Saudi),
• back in Perth for a break and studying at Edith Cowan University (Not Riyadh),
• across to Toowoomba (Qld) to teach English to refugees and migrants at SQIT (How Woomba is Too Woomba?),
• and then studying for my Masters at the University of Wollongong (Brisbane Master Class).
Now Peter and I are English Language Training Fellows in Malaysia – “We are jolly good fellows!”
